Hug a Tree Program |
|
![]() |
The Hug a Tree a program teaches children basic survival skills. This RCMP search and rescue initiative is helping lost children survive in the woods. The Canadian version of Hug a Tree and Survive is modelled after an American project which teaches children aged five to 12 about basic outdoor survival. A Hug a Tree presentation involves an entertaining and educational video, along with coloring book handouts and a super talk/question and answer session from a member of our team who will arrive in uniform and with various search and rescue equipment. The presentation takes from 1-2 hours depending on age of audience and size of group. Visit the RCMP's Hug a Tree website by clicking here. |
